A growing, year-round pilgrimage
Saudi Arabia received 16.92 million Umrah pilgrims in the 2024โ25 season (plus 1.61 million Hajj pilgrims), and Vision 2030 targets 30 million Umrah pilgrims a year. Umrah is possible year-round โ unlike Hajj, which has fixed dates โ but demand, prices and heat vary enormously by window.
The windows that matter
Ramadan is the peak: hotels near the Haram book out months ahead and fares are at their highest, especially the last ten nights. After Hajj (from Muharram) the season reopens with the quietest crowds of the year. UK school holidays shape family demand in summer. The Umrah Trip Planner turns these windows into a dated, printable plan.
Verify, then book
Visa and permit rules are set by Saudi authorities and change by year; this site deliberately links to verification rather than restating rules. Health requirements (such as vaccination certificates) should be confirmed with a travel clinic 6โ8 weeks before departure.
